On Friday, March 28, we will be giving four guided tours of this exhibition, led by visual curator Juan Valbuena. Sign up and don’t miss your chance. The exhibition will be ending on Sunday, March 30.
Along with visual curator Juan Valbuena, discover the story of the thousands of people who had to leave Spain at the end of the Spanish Civil War, finding refuge in the Maghreb region (which includes the former territories of colonial France, today’s Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco).
It is a little known story of exile, told through images taken from 1939 to 1962, crossing through four emotions: fear, indignation, hope and resignation.

On Exodus and Wind: Spanish exile in North Africa
Starting on October 23, you can visit this exhibition in Madrid. It is
an initiative by Casa Árabe and Spain’s Ministry of Territorial Policy
and Democratic Memory, conceived by José Miguel Santacreu Soler as the
scientific curator and Juan Valbuena as its visual curator.
