We invite you to delve into this retrospective show of works by over 60 artists whose work has been on display at our headquarters. The exhibition, which includes pieces consisting of ceramics, photography, steel, videos and installations, is an intentional review of the works and exhibitions that we have held over these last ten years.
Through this exhibition, we have attempted to approach the diverse, multifaceted world of art from this “otherness” and its culture, whether Arab or Muslim, based on the idea that, more than facts or contemporary events, the artist’s vision was and is the most appropriate way to build bridges of understanding, a path towards the mutual comprehension and empathy sought by all. The organisation and selection of the works on display is the result of painstaking reflection; they have been divided into five categories (Al-Andalus, Spain and the Arab world, Maghreb, Mashreq and miscellaneous), and all of the countries with which we have performed exhibition work are represented, namely Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Yemen.
The artists who appear in the exhibition are:
