Homage to Nasr Abu Zayd

Casa Árabe organizes on November 15th in Madrid the homage In Memory of Nasr Abu Zayd, critical thought master. Nasr Abu Zayd passed away last July 5th.
The speakers will be Gema Martín Muñoz, Casa Árabe's Director General, Ebtehal Younes, Hispanist (American University in Cairo), Elham Manea, Political Scientist (University of Zurich), Ali Mabrook, Philosophy and Islamic Studies Professor (University of Cairo) and Andrés Martínez Lorca, Philosophy Professor (UNED).
Nasr Abu Zayd (1943-2010) has been one of the most important Muslim thinkers and reformists in the world. His intellectual work focused on the development of a renewed and critic exegesis of the Quran and other basic Islamic texts, aiming to promote a humanistic hermeneutics that aligns with faith and modernity.
