II International Congress on Didactics and Teaching of Arabic Language

Casa Árabe, in collaboration with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, hosts the II International Congress on Didactics and Teaching of the Arabic Language (CIDELA) organized by the Spanish Society of Arabic Language Teachers (SEDLA). The deadline to register as a participant ends on October 20.
The Spanish Society of Arabic Language Teachers, in collaboration with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Casa Árabe and the University of Salamanca, organizes the II International Congress on Didactics and Teaching of the Arabic Language (CIDELA II), which will take place on October 24 and 25, 2024 in hybrid format (online and face-to-face) at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the headquarters of Casa Árabe in Madrid.
This second SEDLA congress seeks to bring together researchers, experts and those interested in the teaching of the Arabic language from different perspectives and aims to be a meeting point to share both innovative and successful teaching practices and formal and theoretical aspects of the teaching of this language.
It will consist of five panels dedicated to contexts and scenarios of Arabic teaching, the profile of Arabic students, innovation, methodology and interculturality, as well as a panel for young researchers who focus their work on the didactics and teaching of the Arabic language. It will end with a round table that will address the reality and problems associated with the teaching of Arabic in Spain in all its dimensions and contexts, with the participation of representatives of universities and various educational fields, with a diverse profile, and in which Saida Chermiti, head of the Arabic Language Center of Casa Árabe, will participate.
The congress is open to participants from any country and from any field (universities, official language schools and other centres). The working languages will be Spanish and Arabic.
