The curators of the exhibition “Barzakh: Between worlds”, are giving an interview on Wednesday, June 9, in which they talk about their exhibition project, selected in the first call for submissions in “Nur.”
“Everything real is pure light, while the impossible is sheer darkness. Darkness never becomes light, and light never becomes darkness. The realm thus created is barzakh and lies between light and dark. In its essence, it cannot be described by darkness or light, as barzakh lies in the middle, possessing properties from both sides.”
“Barzakh: Between worlds” is the result of a collaborative effort between Jiser Reflexions Mediterrànies, KOZ Collective (Morocco), Collective220 (Algeria), rhizome (Algeria) and Maison de l’Image (Tunisia). It brings together eight artists: Zied Ben Romdhane, Souad Mani, Hakim Rezaoui, Yasmine Hatimi, Sonia Merabet, M’hammed Kilito, Toni Serra *) abu ali and Abdo Shanan.
