Islamic Art influences over contemporary creation

On the occasion of the Jameel Prize 2011 exhibition inauguration, Casa Árabe organizes a round table in Madrid, on Wednesday 18th April.
The connection between concepts such as “art”, “contemporary” and “Islamic” will be analyzed. A topic directly related to the exhibition content and the selection criteria of those finalist works of this prize awarded to contemporary creation.
The curator responsible for the exhibition, Salma Tuqan, from the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, and some other artists will take part in this Tribune.
The lecture will take place at 19.30 at Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62).
