CóRDOBA
Casa Árabe Auditorium (at Calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9)
Taking place on December 17 at the Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Cordoba
On the occasion of the celebration of the Twentieth Anniversary of the registration of Cordoba’s Historical Center on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the city is holding an “Open House Day” which Casa Árabe has decided to join.
Within the framework of this initiative, the doors of Casa Árabe shall remain open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. so that visitors can see the ensemble of buildings known as the Casa Mudéjar from the inside, with its courtyards and rooms, as well as visiting the exhibition hosted at our headquarters during these dates.
Also forming part of the schedule of events to mark the Twentieth Anniversary of the registration of Cordoba’s Historical Center on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Casa Árabe has joined the initiative titled “Living Our Heritage: The viewpoint of the youngest.” In the mornings of December 15, 16 and 17, local Bachillerato students belonging to the “Youth Heritage Ambassadors” group will be showing off the city’s heritage to students from different levels in the educational community, including pre-school, primary school, secondary school, baccalaureate, special education, etc. Along with the explanations given by these youth guides, students from the School of Dramatic Art, the Music Conservatory and the Casa de Tomasa will be recreating scenes related with the city’s heritage in unique spaces, which include Casa Árabe’s headquarters.
