Casa Árabe and the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Spain have organized these two days of activities, which include a concert, conference and exhibition. The days of events will be taking place on February 4 and 5 in Madrid.

The State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Spain are united by a brotherly relationship and shared bonds, which is why these Event Days represent a great opportunity and showcase for the Spain’s culture-loving public to get a closer look at a sample of Kuwait’s cultural heritage.

The Event Days will begin on Tuesday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m. with the official opening ceremony, presented by the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Spain, Ayadah Alsaidi, and the General Director of Casa Árabe, Pedro Martínez-Avial.

Immediately thereafter, a traditional Kuwaiti music ensemble directed by master musician Hamad Al-Rashed will be giving a performance.

One day later, on Wednesday, February 5, at 11:00 a.m., Hasan Ashkanani, a professor of Anthropological Archeology who is responsible for the Anthropology and Archeology Museum and Laboratory at the University of Kuwait, will be giving a conference titled ”Culture, Archeology and Sports in Kuwait.”

The Event Days will come to an end with the official opening, at 12:30 p.m., of an exhibition on Kuwaiti art containing work by painter Atared AlThaqeb and photographer Redha Salem, which will remain open to the public until February 8.

All of these events will be simultaneously translated into Spanish, with free entry until the event’s capacity is reached.

At the same time as these activities held at Casa Árabe, the AECID Islamic Library (located at Avda. de los Reyes Católicos, 4, Madrid) will be hosting a display of publications by Kuwait’s National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters.
