Frank Foley, a professor of International Relations at King’s College in London, is offering this conference
The conference deals with the different focuses which France and Great Britain have adopted in the fight against “Jihadi” terrorism. Tracing the historical origins of their differing policies, Frank Foley examines how the government and police of both countries interact with Muslim communities and highlights the challenges which the French government has faced since the recent attacks in Paris. At a time when tools and strategies for fighting “Jihadi” terrorist networks in Spain are also being re-defined, the French and British experiences can offer elements for comparison and analysis of the models and alternatives to be followed in articulating this policy.
The event is presented by Karim Hauser, who is responsible for the Governance Area at Casa Árabe.
