An “Open House Day” is held on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the registration of Cordoba’s Historical Center on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The city of Cordoba is putting on an “Open House Day” which Casa Árabe has decided to take part in. Within the framework of this initiative, the doors of Casa Árabe will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. so that visitors can view its ensemble of buildings known as the Casa Mudéjar on the inside, with its courtyards and rooms, as well as visiting the exhibition “I Spy with My Little Eye: Beirut and a new generation of artists” hosted by the headquarters on these dates.

Also as part of the twenty-first anniversary schedule of events, Casa Árabe is joining the initiative “Living Heritage, through the Eyes of Children.” On December 17, during the morning, the student body completing their baccalaureate at the Blas Infante Secondary School (IES) will be carrying out a series of activities for the city’s youths: increasing awareness about the relevance held by the declaration as a World Heritage City, the importance of forming part of the Organization of World Heritage Cities and the Group of World Heritage Cities in Spain, as well as the values of the world heritage locations that are seen during the tour. These walks and activities will be held along with several performances by students from the Miguel Salcedo Advanced School of Dramatic Arts and the Rafael Orozco Advanced School of Music, with events involving local heritage put on by La Casa de Tomasa and Arqueología somos todos (We Are All Archeology).
