Casa Árabe and the journal “Atalayar, entre dos orillas” have organized this course, to be held on the dates of November 25 and 26 at our headquarters in Cordoba. Registration now open.

In this course, directed by Javier Fernández Arribas, the editor-in-chief of “Atalayar,” we will be discussing topics such as economic cooperation and trade, the challenges existing in terms of migration, security and the prevention of terrorism, all with a commitment to seeking knowledge and understanding between peoples and cultures.

The general purpose of the course is to offer students the best possible information on the subjects which are brought up, through the participation of well-known experts in these fields. In Spain, there is a need to increase knowledge about the reality being lived in regions as strategic to our interests as North Africa and the Near East. From the perspective of security and defense, the economy and trade, political cooperation and diplomacy, the collaboration required to curb immigration and social, cultural and athletic activities.

The course was designed for students and university degree holders (preferably in Political Science, Sociology, Criminology, Law, the Humanities, Communication Sciences, etc.) and active professionals with a special interest in these subjects (members of the Armed Forces, the State Security Forces and Corps, journalists, lawyers, political office holders, diplomatics, etc.).
