On Friday, September 20, Casa Árabe will be hosting a concert by Marwán as part of the Mercè Festival, another way in which it is cooperating with Barcelona’s Municipal Government. You won’t want to miss it!
With this concert, Casa Árabe is being introduced in Barcelona as a place for coming together and celebrating diversity, joining one of the city’s most important popular celebrations: the Mercè festivities.
Marwán’s concert forms part of the presentation tour of his album “Canciones para una urgencia,” through which he is celebrating his twentieth anniversary in the music world, by reinterpreting some of his best songs together alongside various performers who have participated in the project.
Marwán is one of the most personal singer-songwriter voices in Spain and Latin America. As part of this tour, he will be giving over 70 concerts across ten countries, with performances faithful to his artistic career, including a fusion of different live genres ranging from soul and folk to electronic sounds.
After twenty years, Marwán continues to captivate audiences with his authenticity and talent, and has gained a strong foothold as a role model in contemporary music and poetry in an intimate and profound format.
