Starting this November, our Middle Eastern dance classes will be returning to Casa Árabe’s Cordoba headquarters. Two levels are offered (beginning and intermediate) with different schedules.
Designed as a way to promote a cultivated, humanistic view of Arab dance, distanced from stereotypes and frivolity, Casa Árabe’s Middle Eastern dance courses attempt to increase knowledge about the techniques, music and cultural context in which Middle Eastern dance has developed.
The therapeutic benefits which are obtained include postural re-education, strengthening of the back, removing physical and emotional blockages and increasing self-esteem. The ambience in class will promote a spirit of fellowship and creativity.
The courses will be given by Ignacio Velarde “Zuel”, a dancer with a lengthy professional career, director of the cultural magazine Añil Danza, holder of a degree in Dramatic Arts and with a strong background in stage arts education.
The classes will take place from November 2015 to May 2016 at Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Cordoba (at Calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9), with the possibility of registering on a monthly basis. Each class will last one hour and a half. Classes will be given once per week. Two levels are offered: beginning and intermediate, with different prices based on schedules. When the course ends, those attending will be given a certificate of participation.

The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 9 per group.

Provide a brief introduction about the candidate’s profile, including first and last names, and telephone number.
Once you receive confirmation of admittance, you must complete registration in one of the following two ways:
1) IN PERSON
Hand the form in at Casa Árabe’s offices (at Calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9), Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payment in cash.
2) ONLINE
By sending the registration form in to infocordoba@casaarabe.es along with a copy of the receipt of the month’s payment. Form of payment: by bank transfer or deposit into the account Casa Árabe ES23 2100 9081 5422 0017 1409 (at La Caixa bank), indicating the following in the information section: first and last names + course code (example: Luz Díaz DANC INT C).
IMPORTANT:
Monthly payments with the opportunity to re-register until the 7th day of each month.
Spaces are limited, and the groups will be filled in strict order of applications received. If there are not enough students to form a group, the full amount paid upon registration will be refunded.
