Muhsilwan

On the event of the European Music Day (on the 21st June), organized in the Spanish capital by the City Council of Madrid, Casa Árabe collaborates with the concert of Muhsilwan.
Muhsilwan is an African rooted trio formed by musicians from Sudan, Morocco and Guinea Conakry, who create a dialogue between original and rare instruments to be played on our country’s artistic scene (kalimba, ngoní, Arab lute, accordion, sentir, karakeb, rigk, duf, nay, etc).
Muhsilwan is a group formed by Muhammed el Bouzidi, with a musical tradition based on the Moroccan gnawa; Syla Babakar, Guinea Conakry’s music ambassador, and the Sudanese Wafir Shaikheldin, versatile musician which has taken part in different experiences, collaborating with Eduardo Paniagua for a project related to Ancient music, or creating Celt pop with Hevia, folk from Galicia with Luar na Lubre, or playing Castilian folk with La Musgaña, Jewish music with Klezmer Sefardí or a rich fusion with the legendary Radio Tarifa.
Time: 20.00 –opened from 19.30 on. Free entrance prior ticket collection on the 20th and 21st June, from 10.00 to 15.00 and from 16.00 to 18.30 at Casa Árabe’s headquarters (c/ Alcalá, 62)
