The year 2019 edition of this forum, the leading event in Europe devoted
to the continent of Africa, will be taking place at Casa Árabe’s
headquarters in Madrid on Friday, November 29.
The International Economic Forum on Africa is the leading event in Europe to deal with the continent of Africa. Every year, OECD directors and political leaders, mainly from Africa, meet with representatives from the private sector, the academic world, civil society and international organizations to analyze the main transformations taking place on the continent and discuss in what way public policies can have a greater impact on the region. Every year, the OECD organizes in this forum with the cooperation of the African Union and other prestigious role-players.
This year, for the first time ever since it was created, the forum is being held in Madrid, with the cooperation of the Government of Spain. The event will be taking place at the Casa Árabe headquarters on November 29, 2019. In order to attend the event, prior registration is required.
This Nineteenth International Economic Forum on Africa will analyze current events, including the priorities set by African institutions to promote greater regional integration and ways to support the private sector in dealing with the increasing domestic market demand. The panelists will also be paying special attention to public policies which promote the necessary, sustainable investments to contribute to productive transformation and creating jobs in Africa.

The recent launch of the Third Africa Plan by the government has made it clear that the continent is a priority for Spain.
