MADRID
Casa Árabe headquarters (at Calle Alcalá, 62). From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free entry to the event. Prior registration is required for the workshops (free of charge).

On Friday, April 4, come discover the facilities, teachers and methodology at our language center, while younger visitors get the chance to practice calligraphy and listen to storytelling. Don’t forget to register so you can take part in the activities!

Casa Árabe is opening up the doors of its Arabic Language Center (CLA) to families so that they can become more familiar with our facilities and teachers, as well as offering children’s activities to get started on learning the Arabic alphabet, Arabic writing and calligraphy in a simple and fun way, in groups divided by age. Sign up to take part!

Arabic calligraphy, declared a form of intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2021, will be the focus of many of the activities that Casa Árabe is holding on this day, and for this occasion children will have the opportunity to learn more about it, so that they can become familiar with the script and how to use a calligraphic pen.

The Open House day will begin at 5:30 p.m. Families will be able to get to know the classes, methodology and facilities with the help of the Center’s staff, so that the children can then take part in the storytelling session and calligraphy workshop, depending on their age, and get their first contact with the Arabic language and its writing.

No prior knowledge of Arabic is required for any of the activities. Places are limited and assigned in order of registration.
