Orientalism: the depicted "Moor"

Casa Árabe organizes an audiovisual workshop on Orientalism focused on analysing and reflecting how the fictional representation of the Arab concept has been recreated, establishing clichés and stereotypes which hinder getting to know the real Arab states societies and citizens.

The workshop is open to the public interested and will be taught by the visual artist Rogelio López Cuenca, who has a long career in intercultural relations’ perceptions and representations.

This workshop will take place from February 15th to 17th, from 18.00 to 20.30 at Casa Árabe (c/ Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9 –esquina c/ Velázquez Bosco con Plaza de la Agrupación de las Cofradías-).
