From October 15, 2025 to December 5, 2025
On October 15, the Casa Árabe headquarters in Cordoba will be hosting the official opening and first day of this exhibition, which will be running until December, including fifteen sessions, allowing visitors to discover the work of many different Palestinian filmmakers. Check out the full schedule below.
The purpose of this Palestinian film series is to enrich the dialogue around the multifaceted and diverse cultural heritage of the Palestinian people, who are constantly being pulled in different directions by resistance, identity and belonging. Each movie, whether a feature film or short-subject film, as well as the documentaries we have selected, reveals stories of hope, resistance and everyday life, providing an intimate look at the Palestinian experience within a historical context of occupation and exile. We invite the public to explore a Palestine woven together, in the form of tatreez, a craft in which past and present come together to create a powerful symbol of cultural resistance and identity.
In a world where their identity is often trapped in foreign narratives, Palestinians claim the right to talk about who they are through cinema, as narrators of their own history. In film, they show us that they are a resilient people who, find unbreakable strength in their land and traditions despite the difficulties. Their perspective is essential to understanding not only the reality of Palestine, but also the value of human dignity and perseverance in the pursuit of justice and peace.
The program consists of fifteen sessions in all. They will be taking place during the months of October, November and December at the Casa Árabe headquarters, the Filmoteca de Andalucía and the University of Cordoba’s School of Philosophy and Letters. During these sessions, the public in Cordoba will get the opportunity to see a selection of unique films by Palestinian filmmakers whose works have been screened at several well-known festivals, as well as having received awards and critical acclaim.
