Spain and UAE: Economic & financial cooperation

From August 27, 2010 until September 24, 2010

Casa Arabe and the Madrid Centro Financiero (MCF), in association with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) are organising the Spain and UAE: Economic & financial cooperation DIFC-MFC Projects Seminar, an investment conference that will be held in Madrid on 24 September 2010.

The full-day event is aimed at strengthening the UAE’s economic ties with Spain and Madrid, on the back of a bi-lateral MOU that will be signed between MCF and DIFC at the seminar.

The event, which has a specific focus on banking, financial and investment opportunities between Spain and the UAE will cover topics such as economic & financial relations between the two countries and their facilitation, Islamic finance, and developing public private partnerships in the areas of infrastructure projects.

The event will also include two practice-oriented sessions on Islamic Finance and Project/Infrastructure Finance. We are approaching industry experts from prominent organisations in Spain and the UAE to speak on these topics.

The timing of this event has particular significance as it follows closely the opening of the first direct flight by Emirates Airlines from Dubai to Madrid, a move that will encourage and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

To participate in the meeting, that will take place from 8:30 am to 14:00 pm in Casa Árabe Auditorium (c/Alcalá, 62 - Madrid), please RSVP at foroeconomico@casaarabe-ieam.es or by phone at: +34 91 563 0652.
