Presentation of "New Arab Capital" in Barcelona

From June 03, 2013 until June 10, 2013

Casa Árabe, with the cooperation of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), is presenting the results of a study titled "New Arab Capital" in Barcelona on June 10. This work, financed and published by Casa Árabe, was produced by Jacinto Soler on the basis of data from Zawya (Thomson Reuters).

The goal of these seminars is to show how, within the current context of transitions in North Africa and the liquidity of the Gulf economies, Arab capital may find an inestimable partner for carrying out projects within this region in the experience, specialization and international presence of Spanish companies.

In Barcelona, the seminar, organized with the cooperation of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), will be held on Monday, June 10, starting at 11:00 a.m. at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) headquarters (at Calle Girona, 20 in Barcelona). Free entrance after confirming attendance here.

The event will be officially opened by the President of IEMed, Senén Florensa, and the General Director of Casa Árabe, Eduardo López Busquets. At this gathering, in addition to the study results, which will be presented by the study’s author, cases of Spanish-Arab business cooperation will be analyzed with the help of Josep Andreu i Figueras, President of the Port Authority of Tarragona; Albert Alsina, Director of Fons Mediterrània Capital FCR – Mediterrània; Josep Marsal, of Cuatrecasas - Gonçalves Pereira, and a representative of Mixta África, at a round table discussion moderated by Andreu Bassols, the General Director of IEMed.

The book will soon be presented in Valencia and Alicante, on dates which have yet to be confirmed.
