As part of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Casa Árabe is presenting the books “Palestine, the Narrow Land” by journalist Beatriz Lecumberri and “Palestinian Childhood and Survival: Towards the end of nightmares” by Fermín Aparicio Sáez. Join us and meet the authors.

Libro Infancia Palestina"Palestina, the Narrow Land" shows us an intimate portrait of a land where pain, injustice and resilience are all intertwined. Lecumberri’s chronicles leave no room for optimism, yet their irresistible authenticity is moving in an era marked by opaque information, radicalization and suspicion.

As for ”Palestinian Childhood and Survival: Towards the end of nightmares”, by Fermín Aparicio Sáez, it is a book of stories about the hopes and dreams of children in a place where it frankly seems quite difficult to envision a bright future. However, even in the worst of circumstances, there is a Palestine that continues to dream about another possible world.

The presentation of this event will include participation by the authors, as well as Jamil Mahmoud Abou Saada, director of the General Union of Palestinian Communities in Europe. Presented and moderated by Karim Hauser, Casa Árabe’s Culture and International Relations Coordinator. The event can be watched live on our YouTube channel
