Casa Árabe presents in Madrid on November 24th the essay Muslims and Christians cohabitating together. How the school children in Ceuta and Melilla feel, with the author's presence, Tomás Calvo Buezas.
Tomás Calvo Buezas is Social Anthropology Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and Director of the Center for the Studies on Migration and Racism, (CEMIRA). In the presentation, there will be also Juan José Tamayo, theologian and professor at the Carlos III University in Madrid, and Mokhtar Mohatar Marzok, anthropologist and researcher in the Andalusian Public Foundation (Fundación Pública Andaluza).
Ceuta and Melilla are a singular laboratory on citizen multidenominational coexistence, a complex but feasible situation. The book summarizes the results of sociological research that delves into the perceptions of school children on their respective identities.
