Presentation of the Book B chuiya b chuiya A1

B chuiya b chuiya is a course intended for students of Moroccan as a foreign language of any age who wish to begin studying this language and culture in a practical, dynamic and innovative way. It is the first step in a project of a greater scope which will create the foundations for adapting Moroccan Arabic to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It will cover the initial levels of this language, allowing students to improve from being basic users to becoming independent users.
On the occasion of the publication of this textbook, Casa Árabe is organizing the book’s presentation on Wednesday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. at our auditorium in Madrid. Participating in the event are Francisco Moscoso García, co-author of the book and a professor of the Arabic language and Moroccan Arabic dialect at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; Miguel Ángel Manzano Rodríguez, a professor of the Arabic language at the University of Salamanca, and Said Kirhlani, a professor of Moroccan Arabic at Casa Árabe’s Language Center. Presenting the event is Nuria Medina, the coordinator of Casa Árabe’s Culture and New Media area. Free entry until the event’s capacity is reached.
About the Speakers
Francisco Moscoso García
A professor of the Arabic language and Moroccan Arabic dialect at the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid, his lines of research are the study of traditional Arabic dialects in Morocco, the oral tradition of that country, studying Moroccan Arabic in Spain throughout the nineteenth century and the Protectorate, and the teaching of Moroccan Arabic. His most notable works include: El dialecto árabe de Chauen (The Arabic Dialect of Chaouen), Curso de árabe marroquí (Moroccan Arabic Course), Cuentos en dialecto árabe del Norte de Marruecos (Stories in the Arabic Dialect of Northern Morocco) and Aproximación al cuento narrado en árabe marroquí (An Approach to the Narrated Story in Moroccan Arabic).
Nadi Hamdi Nouaouri
Holder of a degree in Arabic Philology from the University of Cádiz, he is an Arabic language teacher at the Juan Ramón Jiménez Spanish High School in Casablanca. His lines of research include language acquisition, comparative linguistics and psychological linguistics, topics on which he has published various articles in specialized journals. He has had a great deal of experience in teaching both Spanish and Arabic as foreign languages.
Óscar Rodríguez García
Holder of a degree in Arabic Philology from the University of Salamanca and a Master’s degree in Linguistics Applied to Foreign Language Education from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, he has had more than six years of experience as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at the Cervantes Institute in Rabat, Oran and Brussels. At present, he is a teacher of Spanish in Saint Petersburg. He has also worked as a teacher trainer in several fields, above all those related with the teaching of Spanish and new technologies. He is the author of several books on Spanish culture for students of Spanish as a foreign language.
