Presentation of the year 2016 “Report on Islamophobia in Spain”

The Citizen’s Platform Against Islamophobia (PCCI) is presenting its latest report on the incidence of Islamophobia in our country, in Cordoba.

Taking part in the event are Javier Rosón, Casa Árabe’s coordinator in Cordoba; Amparo Sánchez Rosell, President of the PCCI, who will be giving a general presentation; Isabel Romero, of the Halal Institute, who will speak about Islamophobia in the world of food, and Esteban Ibarra, Secretary General of the PCCI, who will discuss the situation involving hate crimes and the growth in Europe’s extreme right.

SCHEDULE
Presentation of the Report on Islamophobia in Spain of 2016:
12:30 p.m.: Meeting with journalists and the media.
5:00 p.m.: Workshop on detecting and preventing Islamophobia.
6:00 p.m.: Coffee break
6:30-7:30 p.m.: The workshop continues until it has been completed.
 The workshops are open to the public, and a diploma will be given out for attendance.

Running the activities during these workshops are Aurora Ali, of the PCCI’s Communication Department, and Bárbara Ruiz Bejarano, who is responsible for International Relations at PCCI. The workshops will be moderated by Amparo Sánchez Rosell.
