The event will be presented by Javier Rosón, the manager of Casa Árabe in Cordoba.

Casa Árabe and the publishing firm Los libros del Zorro Rojo are presenting this work in Cordoba, coordinated by Arabist, translator and professor emeritus of the UAM, Pedro Martínez Montávez, with illustrations by artist and calligrapher Rachid Koraïchi.

Casa Árabe is presenting this anthology of poetry, illustrated by Rachid Koraïchi, one of today’s finest Arab visual artists. This anthology contains Arab poems written from the sixth century to the modern day, the most notable of which include both classical and contemporary poets.

Created with the voices of 52 poets, some of whom have never been translated into Spanish until today, this edition combines poetry from the Arab world in general, Al-Andalus and Algeria with illustrations by Koraïchi, thereby joining two paths of creativity: image and word.

During this evening, we will enjoy the intervention by the artist himself, Rachid Koraïchi, to speak to us about his surprising and inspiring illustrations, as well as Arabist Pedro Martínez Montávez, who coordinated this edition. Both invite us to travel through the book, capturing the essence of a culture in which poetry is, has been and will remain a meeting point and a pathway that opens up new horizons.
