Public Migration and Development Policies in Africa

From June 05, 2013 until June 12, 2013

On Wednesday, June 12 in Madrid, Casa Árabe and the International and Iberian American Foundation of Public Administration and Policies (FIIAPP) are organizing a presentation of the study "Challenges and Priorities of the Public Administrations of Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco and Senegal in the Fields of Migration and Development."

The study is one of the most notable results of the MeDAO project, an initiative co-financed by the European Commission and Spain’s International Cooperation for Development Agency (AECID) and managed by a consortium led by the FIIAPP, the main objective of which is to strengthen the capabilities of the public administrations in these African countries as regards several thematic areas:

1) The development of training systems related with employment;
2) The social protection of migrants and their families;
3) Promoting mechanisms to maximize the socioeconomic impact of migration on development;
4) Strengthening the ties between the diaspora and their countries of origin.

The presentation will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the Casa Árabe headquarters (at Calle Alcalá, 62), and to attend you must confirm your reservation with María Sonia Arenas (Phone: +34 91 144 27 23 / msarenas@fiiapp.org) or send an e-mail request to medao@fiiapp.org
