On July 10, the presentation of this program will be taking place at the
Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid, along with the opening event for an
exhibition and a concert.
The conference will discuss the development challenges being faced by local governments and the strategies being implemented at the local and national levels to deal with the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan.
Meeting at the conference will be representatives from institutions such as the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Local Administrations and the mayors of the city councils of Mafraq, Ramtha and Sarhan, as well as members of civil society.
This meeting will take place before the opening event for an exhibition titled “Building Strengths Together,” a show with photographs taken as part of the Qudra Program* in the four countries where it carries out its activities: Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan. The opening event will be taking place at 1:45 p.m. in the Casa Árabe garden, and the exhibition will remain open until July 30.
In the afternoon, the day of events will end with a concert by Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh & Friends in the Casa Árabe garden.
