All those students (and member of the general public) who can prove that they have attended more than 40% of the conferences in the series Aula Árabe Universitaria 5 (AAU5) during the academic year 2023-24 (i.e. at least 6 conferences) can apply for the University Arabic Classroom Certificate using this form.

How do you prove you have attended the lectures?
Students from the Autonomous Region of Madrid have to demonstrate their attendance in person, through the “Passport to the Arab World,” which gets stamped each time you attend a conference. Take a photo of the passport (personalized with your data) or scan it, and then attach it to the information included when filling out the application form.

Students from other autonomous regions, including those in the programs associated with Aula Mediterránea, must demonstrate their online attendance by using the chat from Casa Árabe’s channel on Youtube, at the time of the live broadcast.When you fill out the form, just indicate which conferences you attended online, and we will check it against the information in the conference file.

Also counting towards this are the conferences in Aula Mediterrània, our sister program, if you attended them online (up to a maximum of 2 conferences). If this is the case, please let us know which Aula Mediterrània conferences you attended online, and we will check with IEMed, the organizer of that series.

Aula Árabe Universitaria (AAU) is an inter-university cooperation program organized by Casa Árabe with the cooperation of the universities in Madrid and Cordoba with the goal of promoting knowledge about the Arab and Islamic world, as well as complementing and enriching the educational offerings provided by the various associated university programs, encouraging dialogue amongst disciplines while offering students, faculty and researchers the potential for establishing contact with speakers and relevant international experts in different subjects and areas related with the Arab world.
