Sahara Security Challenges. A look from Mauritania

Conference by Mohammad-Mahmoud Ould Mohamedou, former Mauritian Minister of Foreign Affairs and professor for the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Located on the western side of the Arab world, and a hinge country to the Sub-Saharan Africa, in the last years Mauritania has been undergoing simultaneously relevant internal political changes and has been immersed in a new kind of regional security threat in the Sahara and the Sahel.
 
The conference will take place at Casa Árabe’s Auditorium in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62), Wednesday 2nd March at 19.30. Free entrance.
