Spanish Architecture in the Arab World
From October 11, 2012 until October 23, 2012
On Tuesday October 23rd, Casa Árabe and the Higher Council of the Professional Associations of Architects of Spain (CSCAE for its acronym in Spanish) organize in Madrid the event "Spanish Architecture in the Arab world. Success and good prospects as Brand Spain [Marca España]".
The event took place at Casa Árabe (c/ Alcalá, 62) at 18.30. Eduardo López Busquets, director general of Casa Árabe and Jordi Ludevid i Anglada, president of The Higher Council of the Professional Associations of Architects of Spain, introduced the event.
Afterwards, some Spanish architects explained their successful experiences internationalizing in Arab countries:
- Fuensanta Nieto, Nieto-Sobejano Architects (Aga Khan Prize 2010)
- Mark Fenwick, RFA Fenwick Iribarren Architects (projects in Qatar)
- Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea, AGI Architects (projects in Kuwait)
- Jordi López Clavería, López Clavería Architects (projects in Algeria)
- César Ruiz-Larrea, Ruiz-Larrea Architects (projects in Qatar)
- Ángel Zarabozo, director general of Tecniberia
The activity is aimed to professionals and students related to the sector, attendance is free, subjected to space availability. To take part in registration was needed, it was handled through The Higher Council of the Professional Associations of Architects of Spain, interested people sent an E-mail to: concursos.cscae@arquinex.es.
