Casa Árabe and the Graphiclassic publishing firm will be presenting this work on Thursday, July 1 in Madrid. Professor Soha Abboud and storyteller and editor Jesús Urceloy will be attending. You can watch it in person or on our YouTube channel.
The Arabian Nights is a book as universal as it is widely unknown, except for some of the stories it contains. This study published by Graphiclassic, including 236 extensively illustrated pages, delves into the story’s content and its widespread influence in all fields. The book is further divided into four parts. In the first, its features, history and content are analyzed in depth by renowned specialists in the field. The second delves into tales and characters ranging from Scheherazade to Sindbad the Sailor and Aladdin, as well as others less well-known. The third is a collection of the main versions created in art, graphics, music and cinema over time. And last of all, the Post Scriptum section surprises readers with a wide variety of anecdotes, curiosities and unknown facts about the work.
