On Wednesday, September 18 at its Madrid headquarters, Casa Árabe is hosting this presentation of the latest issue of the magazine “Hesperia: Cultures of the Mediterranean,” a special edition on the Middle East that includes a monograph dedicated to Jordan, Oman and Qatar. Sign up here to attend.

The opening ceremony will be attended by: 
- Irene Lozano, General Director of Casa Árabe. 
- Ahmed Kaddour, director of the journal Hesperia. 
- Juan Martos Quesada, from the Editorial Board of Hesperia 
-  Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio Alvariño, a specialist in the Middle East and the Maghreb

The twenty-seventh issue of the journal “Hesperia: Cultures of the Mediterranean” is a special edition about the Middle East that includes a monograph titled “Jordan, Oman and Qatar: On the path towards sustainable development,” as well as articles on “Resources, productive specialization and foreign trade in the Mediterranean Middle East”; “Higher education and scientific information in the countries of the Arab League”; “Constitutionalization of transitional justice in the post-conflict period”; “A contextualization of the history of the migration of Middle Eastern populations in Spain”; “Casa Árabe, a successful model of public diplomacy” and “Female empowerment in the Saudi educational system within the framework of the Vision 2023 program.” The interview in this issue features Alberto Ucelay, Director General of Foreign and Security Policy at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and the former Director General for the Maghreb, Mediterranean and Middle East. Also included are sections on the Mediterranean World, Miscellanea and Reviews.
