Presentation of a demographic study on the Muslim inhabitants of Spain carried out by the Observatorio Andalusí.

How many Muslims are there in Spain? What are their nationalities? What kinds of jobs do they have?
These are just a few of the questions answered by a demographic study on the Muslim population in Spain carried out by the Observatorio Andalusí, an entity forming part of the Union of Islamic Communities of Spain (UCIDE), to be presented at Casa Árabe on the upcoming date of May 10.

The study, published in February of this year, performs a statistical analysis of the census of Muslim inhabitants in Spain using data from December 2015. The study results will be presented by Riay Tatary Bakry, president of the Islamic Commission of Spain, and Jairodín Riaza, director of the Observatorio Andalusí and coordinator of this study. During the presentation, Samira Yakhlef will also discuss the role of women in Spain’s Muslim community. Pedro Villena, the Director of Casa Árabe, will be opening the event.
