The painter and the female traveller

Casa Árabe organizes the release of Patricia Almarcegui’s lastest novel on Wednesday 30th November in Madrid and Thursday 1st December in Córdoba.
During the event a dramatized reading of
some extracts will be carried out.
The piece of work relates an imaginary meeting between the French painter Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres and the 18th century British traveller Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, a pioneer in travel literature and whose letters from a trip to Turkey inspired the orientalist painter.
The launch will take place at Casa Árabe’s Auditorium in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62) and in Córdoba c/ Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9 -esquina c/ Velázquez Bosco con Plaza de la Agrupación de las Cofradías-) at 19.30. Free entrance.
