The Three Wise Men. History and legend

Casa Árabe organizes in Madrid and Seville the conference The Three Wise Men. History and legend, by Franco Cardini, professor of Medieval History at the University of Florence.
He will explain the legend of the Three Wise Men from the East deeply rooted in ancient myths from the Middle East, South Asia and the Arabian Peninsula and was later disseminated by Christianity following particular paths.
This conference will take place in Madrid and Seville, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th December respectively.
Being close to the Christmas dates and the festivity of the Three Wise Men, this conference aims to shed light on the origins, the expansion and the transformation of the story up untill today.
The conferences will take place on December 15th at 19.30h at the Casa Árabe's Auditorium in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62) and December 16th at 20.00h at the Assembly Hall of the Real Academia Sevillana de Buenas Letras de Sevilla (c/ Abades, 14). Both events have free entrance.
