We are bringing back these successful theme walks organized by Casa
Árabe and given by Inmaculada Serrano Hernández, which will take place
on the dates of May 5 and 12. Registration now open (TOURS ARE
FULL).
On these tours, we will get a closer look at a series of key female figures in the history of Cordoba (more specifically, from the ninth century to the fifteenth century), and their social, cultural, political and economic contributions during the era of Al-Andalus.
The goal of these tours, given by Inmaculada Serrano Hernández, an Arabist and professor of Spanish Language and Literature, is to highlight the important role played by women in different sectors of Cordoba’s society. During the tours, their biographies will be told along with the inestimable legacy they left behind: “their steps towards equality.”
