On Monday, November 17, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Islamic World League and President of the Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid, will be giving this lecture at Casa Árabe.
Muhammad AbdulKarim Al-Issa Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa (born in 1965) has been Secretary General of the Islamic World League since 2016 and is the President of the Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid. He holds a PhD in comparative judicial studies and has served as the Minister of Justice of Saudi Arabia (2009–2015) and President of its Court of Cassation.
A distinguished scholar, lecturer and author on Islamic law, human rights and interfaith dialogue, he has lectured at universities in Europe and the United States, He has received many international awards, including the Galileo International Award, the Saudi Arabia Moderation Award and various honorary PhD’s for promoting peace, moderation and cooperation amongst religions.
He has led dialogue initiatives such as the Paris Agreement for the Abrahamic Family, bringing together Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders. Acknowledged by the UN, ICESCO, and several heads of state, he has worked actively to defend global peace, Islamic unity and the fight against extremism. In recent years, he has been distinguished as an Ambassador of International Peace, promoting sustainability and interfaith respect in global forums.
