To mark this date, Casa Árabe and the Office of the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) are organizing an online event which
you can watch live on YouTube on June 18.
The event will be about the creation and meaning of the word “refugee.” Through music, literature and poetry, we will learn more about the significance of this word.
The participants will include refugee artists, and we will get the opportunity to learn about the latest figures on forced displacement worldwide. The event will be streamed on UNHCR’s YouTube channel.
