“All Birds” is back after last season’s success. Lebanese author Wajdi Mouawad, a main figure on the European stage, will be exploring the conflict between personal identity and family heritage through the story of an impossible love between a young Jewish man and an Arab woman, challenged by history and the burden of the past. Through drama, Mouawad addresses issues involving memory, generational conflict and the potential for—or impossible nature of—reconciliation.

With an all-star cast that includes actors of the caliber of Vicky Peña, Pere Ponce, Anabel Moreno and Candela Serrat, among other famous names, and a powerful text by Wajdi Mouawad, this play directed by Mario Gas places identities, memory, ancestral resentment and heartfelt passion up against each other.

The plot takes place mainly in Israel, a land of heartbreak, and is set in a unique context: a wave of suicides among young men and women in love is ravaging the entire country. These Israeli-Palestinian couples are doomed because of their impossible love, so they decide to kill themselves in protest.

Performances will be held in the Sala Verde theater from October 22 through November 8, every Tuesday through Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (Saturday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m.), and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. The estimated duration is 3 hours and 10 minutes (with a 15-minute intermission).
