There are many artists who, throughout the time in which confinement has lasted, have put in effort and dedication to produce works of art, writings, music, and more, to make a part of their talent and sensitivity available to the general public.

On June 20, World Refugee Day was commemorated, and Linda Alahmed, a Syrian singer who resides in Madrid, wished to share a piece with us titled “We Had a Home.” Coupled with Linda’s impressive voice is the talent of her husband Rafi and that of their two children, Bahr and Ward,  with whom she left her homeland to start a new life in Spain.

Linda and her family are dedicating this song to all people who have become refugees, or who have no home or roof over their head, those who sadly cannot comply with the advice to “Just Stay Home,” which we have all felt so present over the last few months.

Idea, lyrics and music: Rafi Wahbe
Performers: Linda Alahmed, Bahr Wahbe and Ward Wahbe
