Registration for the New Arabic Language Center Courses Has Begun
The registration period to sign up for the Arabic Language Center’s summer courses will be open until June 25. The courses themselves will be taking place from June 30 through July 25.
May 26, 2014
Registration for these courses must be completed online using this link.
Classes are offered in Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan Darija, Egyptian and Levantine Arabic (this is the variety spoken in the area of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine). Furthermore, in-company courses and private classes can be given on demand.
For the first time this year during our summer intensive courses, we have created a new type of class called the “consolidation course,” including four different sub-levels (I R, II R, III R and IV R). These courses consist of ten 3-hour sessions (30 hours/month) and are intended for students who have already completed Modern Standard Arabic (AME) classes but wish to improve the foundations of what they have learned in terms of communication objectives. The goal of this type of course has two parts: on the one hand, to help students strengthen their prior linguistic knowledge, with a review of all the grammar, vocabulary, speaking and functional contents which they have learned to date, as well as helping students to acquire a series of spoken expressions and languages structures that will allow them to improve their understanding and know how to express themselves in a variety of communicative situations in everyday life.
Equivalencies and requirements:
- AMESI I R = The student must have completed courses AME I A, B and C
- AMESI II R = The student must have completed courses AME II A, B and C
- AMESI III R = The student must have completed courses AME III A, B and C
- AMESI IV R = The student must have completed courses AME IV A, B and C
If you already have knowledge of the Arabic language, take our free online test to find out what level you should sign up for. All students are given a user name and password to access their private online area, where they can track their registration status, see the information in their file and carry out other procedures.
All of the Arabic Language Center students also receive discounts on Casa Árabe movie tickets, at the Balqís bookshop and at Shukran, the restaurant-lounge bar at Casa Árabe.
