The purpose of the agreement is to implement the already extensive collaboration between the two institutions in search of synergies to produce knowledge in fields of common interest to them both, and for cooperation in teaching.

The objectives include promoting, designing and organizing communication and training activities in areas related with the Arab and Islamic world, and its language and culture, all in a way coherent with the CUGC’S internationalization strategies. Being run by Spain’s Ministry of the Interior through the General Directorate of the Guardia Civil, it takes into consideration Spain’s geostrategic fields of interest.

The cooperation between the CUGC and the instruments for cooperation by Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (including Casa Árabe) provide an added value to the high level university education provided by the CUGC, thus contributing to the visibility and operational cooperation of the Guardia Civil in both the domestic arena and abroad.
