"Akram Zaatari. Against Photography." 

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) also hosts these days and until September this exhibition, curated by Hiuwai Chu and Bartomeu Marí.

This exhibition "Akram Zaatari. Against Photography. Annotated History of the Arab Image Foundation" presents the perspective of Akram Zaatari, a founding member of the Arab Image Foundation who, along with other important artists in the region, played a key role in its development.

His artistic practice and his archaeological perspective -extracted in the past, bringing new narratives to the fore and restoring them into the contemporary - are closely linked to the development of the organization in its twenty years of history.

The coincidence of both exhibitions in Madrid and Barcelona, allows the visitor to know better the role of the Arab Image Foundation in relation to photography in the Middle East.
