The performance will be taking place at 3:00 p.m. (Spanish time) (9:00 a.m. EST / 2:00 p.m. GMT) on Zoom (https://undp.zoom.us/j/84203698391) and Facebook Live. The event will be held in Arabic with simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Spanish.

The dictionary, which has been supported and developed jointly by the UNDP and UNEAD, is the first publication of its kind to offer more than 70 chapters on a wide range of electoral topics, written by electoral professionals and scholars from the Arab world. The Arabic Election Dictionary brings together, in a simple but academic format, the most commonplace legal, socio-political and technical concepts related to elections in the Arab world. In its first edition, the Arab Electoral Dictionary offers a compilation of conceptual chapters on the main theoretical and practical domains in the field of elections; the different entries are organized in alphabetical order according to the terminology currently in use among scientists, technicians and professionals in this field of practice. Each chapter provides a basic conceptual explanation of a specific topic, as well as some examples of relevant countries in the Arab world.

Though the dictionary was drafted fully in Arabic, the attached brochure provides more detailed information on the product in English and French, as well.
