Spain strongly condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated yesterday by running a vehicle into a group of pedestrians in Jerusalem yesterday, leading to the death of one of the victims, in addition to that of the attacker himself, who was shot down by security forces.
Likewise, the Government of Spain resoundingly condemns the press releases made public by Hamas and by the Islamic Jihad supporting and praising this cowardly crime.
Spain calls out to all of the parties concerned to refrain from taking any actions or making any declarations in relation with the situation in Jerusalem, above all on the Esplanade of the Mosques, which might exacerbate current tensions.
