Casa Árabe’s Diplomatic Council held

The meeting of Arab ambassadors accredited in Spain with Casa Árabe’s General Director, Irene Lozano, was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares.

Casa Árabe’s Diplomatic Council gathered in Madrid on September 13. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, and brought together the Arab ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, Palestine, Tunisia, Yemen, Libya, Kuwait, Qatar, Sudan, Mauritania, Iraq, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Egypt with the General Director of Casa Árabe, Irene Lozano.

At the event, which had not been held for years, Lozano presented Casa Árabe’s Strategy for 2022-2025 and highlighted the institution’s harmonious relationship with the embassies, a key form of cooperation to carry out joint initiatives that promote knowledge about the Arab world in our country.

After the meeting, there was an official reception with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, which highlighted the importance of working together to address global challenges and ensure peace, stability and shared prosperity.
