The activities in Khartoum thereby provided continuity to the series of events held by Casa Árabe in May on the occasion of Sudan Week, which was organized with the cooperation of the Sudanese Embassy in Spain. During that week, the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs had the opportunity, along with his Spanish counterpart José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil, to officiate the opening of the First Spain-Sudan Economic Forum, which also included participation by Sudan’s Minister of Investment and representatives of the finance ministries, banks, companies and various governing bodies from the country, as well as more than 150 Spanish companies.
