On June 8, the General Director of Casa Árabe and the president of the Women for Africa foundation (Fundación Mujeres por África), María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, signed a framework agreement for formalization of the cooperation already occurring between these two entities.

Casa Árabe and Women for Africa have the same commitment to development on the continent of Africa and to gender equality, always through respect for cultural diversity, democracy, human rights and the promotion of fair international relations.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will be working together to organize seminars, courses and, in general, activities which involve the participation by or promotion of people and values from North Africa, with the main goal of supporting and increasing the visibility of work done by African women.

Similarly, Women for Africa and Casa Árabe will be cooperating on a goal shared by both entities, that of allowing Spain’s people to become more familiar with the reality of Africa while promoting sensitivity and solidarity towards that continent.
