Casa Árabe’s collaboration with the Iwa Fest this year is a continuation of the initiatives launched in 2023. At that time, the Festival presented performances by Disco Makrout and Rust Duo in at Casa Árabe’s garden in Madrid, and Casa Árabe collaborated to help organize a film series as part of the second edition of the Festival. Last summer, Iwa Fest was presented in Madrid once again, with concerts by Jubantouja and Reqteq

This third edition of the Iwafest festival will be held on in Melilla on October 4 and 5, with the goal of becoming a space where cultural manifestations from around the Mediterranean converge, and film, literature and music coexist. This year’s musical offering includes performances by Acid Arab, Baiuca, Imarhan and Lala Tamar, in addition to others. Advanced ticket sales can now be completed at iwafest.com and on the platform Wegow

The Acid Arab concert that Casa Árabe is cooperating with will be taking place on Saturday, October 5. Acid Arab is a French-Algerian musical collective that emerged in Paris one decade ago. They mix Western electronic music with Eastern sounds and voices, creating an intoxicating fusion.

In this mixture, they include styles like gasba from Algeria, trance from Anatolia and bionic raï, thus further expanding their sound territories with the collaboration of prominent vocalists from North Africa and the Middle East. With hundreds of performances worldwide behind them, Acid Arab has managed to break down barriers between genres and gain traction as one of the most innovative voices on the current electronic scene.
