The Alhambra itself is the main showpiece of this exhibit, “as a symbol of the political, economic and social history of the last emirate of Al-Andalus on the Iberian Peninsula, as well as being a literary, poetic, touristic and cultural point of reference,” as explained by its Board of Trustees, which organized this exhibition along with the Consortium for the First Millennial Commemoration of the Kingdom of Granada and the Andalusian Public Foundation for the Al-Andalus Legacy.

The exhibition was curated by Rafael López Guzmán, José Miguel Puerta Vílchez and María Jesús Viguera Molins and will remain open to the public until March 30, 2014.

The General Director of Casa Árabe, Eduardo López Busquets, accompanied by Nuria Medina, coordinator of the Culture and New Media area, and Elena González, coordinator of exhibitions, wished to attend the opening ceremony of this exhibit, as well, due to its importance within the framework of the cultural program that has been put on for the First Millennial Celebration of the Kingdom of Granada.
